Distinctions

The Order of the National Scientific Merit, was created in 1993 to decorate Brazilian personalities who made relevant contributions to the development of the science and technology. The admission to the order is decided by the President of the Country.
Prof. J. V. Comasseto was decorated as Comendador of the Order in 2002 and was promoted to the Grand-Cross Class in 2007.
