Comprising a core group of 40 permanent advisors, our faculty members are at the forefront of scientific discovery, driving innovation, and making significant contributions to both academia and society. Their unwavering commitment to excellence and their collaborative spirit are fundamental pillars of our Biochemistry program, ensuring its continued success and prominence in the field of life sciences.
A significant majority of our permanent faculty members, approximately 65%, have been recognized with CNPq productivity grants, a testament to their outstanding contributions to research and scholarship. Indicators for the Biochemistry program are comparable to those of programs with comparable dimensions (30 to 60 teachers) such as Duke University, Vanderbilt Univ., Texas A&M Univ., Rutgers State Univ., and Univ. Georgia. Furthermore, in recognition of their scholarly achievements, our faculty and their students have received numerous awards and accolades, highlighting the impactful research conducted within our program.
